All cakes are made with the finest ingredients. Please note, unless requested otherwise, our fruit cakes contain nuts and all of our cakes may contain nut traces. All items are handmade and original - consequently there may be some slight variation from the pictures shown.

Traditional or contemporary?
What can be done? Anything... almost!
Cakes can be simply iced with no decoration beyond 'finishing' (simply covered in almond paste and iced - with simple piping and ribbon - Band A) or cakes can be decorated with real or sugar flowers, stars, hearts, pearls, ribbon, raffia, favourite sweets and edible shimmer / glitter. Cakes can be topped in any number of ways, from a non-edible bride and groom; real or sugar-paste flowers; 'star' or 'heart' bursts or 'jewelled' / beaded wire designs.
Please note - not all cakes here have 'toppers' - this is so you can add your own bride and groom. Alternatively, the theme of the cake can be carried onto the top, or another topper can be used (see Christmas and Birthday cakes for ideas). All chic cakes are available with any accent colour or shade - including solid colours for the body of cakes. If you require a precise shade, simply send us a sample of the colour you require!
To enable you to have the best choice and range of cakes, our pricing structure is expleained below: choose the style or Band and cake flavour separately. Simply add the cost of decoration to the cake sizes.
Note: Please do give as much notice as you can when ordering cakes. Whilst last-minute orders can often be accommodated - it is not always possible. A small charge may be made if the order is placed very late.

How to order your chic cake:
It's easy to get just what you want. Simply add the cost of decoration to the cake flavour and sizes you choose.
Please note, once decorated, up to an inch can be added to the size.

How does it work?
Deposit: This is paid at the time of booking and is the cost of the undecorated cake (see upper table - above). This is non-returnable. Please note though that we do try to be flexible; ammendments to your order can negotiated with enough notice - but may incur a fee.
Balance: this is the cost of the decoration (see bottom table above) and is payable no later than 30 days before you wish to collect / receive the cake.
Cake Stands: Most cakes can use a stand, pillars or be piled onto one another. Please discuss it with us or make clear which you would prefer at the time of ordering. Feel free to organise your own stand or hire through us. A charge and (fully returnable) deposit is required.
What to order: Feel free to order mixed layers of cake. Be aware, however, that fruit cakes are much heavier than the other types and would be better as lower tiers if you inted to stack cakes. Alternatievely, layers can be mixed more freely if you use a stand which distinctly separates layers.
A note on average portion sizes:
6" cake = ten to eighteen+ portions - dependent on shape, type of cake and portion size.
8" cake = fifteen to thirty+ portions - dependent on shape, type of cake and portion size.
10" cake = twenty to forty+ portions - dependent on shape, type of cake and portion size.
12" cake = thirty to fifty+ portions - dependent on shape, type of cake and portion size.
Note: due to their richness, fruit cake slices tend to be smaller than those of other types of cake - often not much larger than 1" squares. Larger slices may be required, however, if cakes are being served as main desert.
Delivery / pick up
We are based in West Yorkshire, feel free to come and pick your cake up in the week before your wedding - although if it is not a fruit cake, we recommend you collect it only a day or two before the wedding - if not on the day.
Cakes can be delivered but a small delivery charge may be levied to cover expenses.
